
Why I Created MenoMora®: A Personal Story
I’m Yin Zhang, the founder of Menomora®. My journey to creating this brand is both deeply personal and professionally driven.
Born and raised in China, I moved to New Zealand at 18, as a university student. My passion has always been in developing products that make a real difference—products that aren’t just innovative but genuinely useful to the people who need them. Over the past 20 years, I’ve built my career around this mission, working across food, nutrition, and dietary supplements. But I never imagined that one day, my own health journey would lead me to create Menomora®.
Two years ago, I started noticing changes in my body. I was constantly fatigued, especially in the afternoons; felt anxious for no clear reason and struggled with unexpected breakouts and weight gain. At first, I brushed it off, thinking I was just overwhelmed by the demands of being a mother of two while managing a full-time career. I had always pushed through challenges, so I assumed this was no different.
Then, at a dietary supplement exhibition in Las Vegas, I stumbled into a presentation by a researcher from the UK. She was sharing insights from a survey on women going through menopause. As I listened, everything clicked. The symptoms she described weren’t just random—they were the early signs of perimenopause.
That moment changed everything.
When I returned to New Zealand, I threw myself into understanding the menopausal transition. I wanted to know not just what was happening but why. My research led me to a key realization: menopause isn’t just about fluctuating and declining hormones—it’s a complex, interconnected shift affecting multiple systems in the body, from digestion to the nervous system. I knew then that the best way to support women through menopause wasn’t a one-size-fits-all approach but a holistic one.
I began experimenting with different nutraceuticals, not just products labelled for menopause, but scientifically backed ingredients known to support the changes happening beneath the surface. I tested them on myself first, then shared them with friends and family. The results were undeniable. We were all feeling better, stronger, and more in control of our bodies again.
That’s when the idea hit me.
Why not create a brand specifically for menopause? A brand that doesn’t just offer solutions but shifts the way we think about this stage of life. A brand that empowers women instead of making them feel invisible. A brand that sparks conversations and helps break the social taboo surrounding menopause.
And so, Menomora® was born.
Created by women, for women, Menomora® is more than just a supplement brand—it’s a movement. A commitment to giving women the knowledge, support, and high-quality products they deserve at every stage of menopause. Because this chapter of life isn’t an ending. It’s a new beginning.
